Getting That UConn Hoodie
So, the other day, I was just flipping through channels, right? And bam, a UConn game was on. Basketball, I think. Suddenly hit me – I don’t actually own anything UConn anymore. Weird feeling, you know? Like a part of my past was just… gone. Had a bunch of stuff way back when, but life happens, you move, things get lost or tossed.
Decided right then, I needed a UConn hoodie. Not just any cheap print thing, but a proper, comfy one. The kind you actually live in.
First stop, the usual online places. Man, what a jungle. So many options, flashing logos, weird synthetic fabrics. Clicked around for maybe an hour. Found a couple that looked okay on screen, but something felt off. Too trendy, maybe? Or just didn’t look like they’d last. Almost bought one, had it in the cart, then just closed the tab. Didn’t feel right.

Finding the Right One Takes Effort
Started thinking, where did I get my old gear? Mostly the campus store, probably. Remembered that feeling, walking in there, seeing all the blue and white. So, I specifically looked up the official UConn bookstore online this time. Took a different approach. Ignored the flashy banners.
- Looked for classic designs.
- Checked the material descriptions carefully. Wanted cotton blend, something substantial.
- Searched for embroidered or stitched lettering, not just screen prints.
Took a bit more digging. Filtered out a lot of the noise. Then I saw it. Simple navy blue pullover. Husky logo stitched on the chest. Looked like decent quality heavy fabric in the pictures. No fuss, just a solid, classic hoodie. Yeah, that was the one.
Got It Done
Pulled the trigger. Ordered it right there. Shipping wasn’t instant, had to wait a few days, which kinda built the anticipation, I guess. Felt different than just grabbing something random off Amazon.

Package arrived yesterday. Pulled it out. Yep, felt good. Heavy, soft inside. Tried it on. Perfect fit. It’s funny how something simple like a hoodie can just feel… correct. Like reconnecting with something. Feels good to have that husky back in the wardrobe. Job done.
