Okay, so I spent some time messing around with these ‘word wilson games’ the other day. Here’s how that went down.
Getting Started
I first heard the name kinda randomly, maybe scrolling through some old forum thread or something. Didn’t ring any bells, but ‘word games’ sounded easy enough, you know? Something to kill a bit of time. So, I figured, why not give it a look? Booted up my old laptop, got comfy on the couch.
Finding them wasn’t exactly straightforward. No big shiny website popped up first try. Had to dig a bit, tried a few different search terms. Eventually, I landed on what looked like a small collection, maybe an indie developer’s page or something similar. Looked pretty basic, no flashy graphics.

Trying Out the Games
So, I clicked on the first one. Seemed like a simple word jumble kind of thing. You get scrambled letters, you make words. Straightforward stuff. It worked, but felt a little… I dunno, clunky? Like something made quite a while ago. Did a few rounds. It passed the time, sure.
Then I clicked on another one listed there. This one was more like a ‘guess the phrase’ game, but with weird clues. Took me a minute to figure out the rules. It wasn’t super intuitive. Spent maybe ten minutes on one puzzle that just wasn’t clicking in my brain. Felt a bit stubborn about it, wanted to crack it.
My thoughts during this were pretty simple:
- Okay, this is basic.
- Hmm, interface could be better.
- Ah, finally got that one. Took long enough.
- Is this it? Seems kinda limited.
Wrapping Up
After trying maybe two or three of these little games, I kinda felt I’d seen all there was to see. They worked, technically. They were word games, as advertised. But nothing really grabbed me, you know? Nothing stood out as particularly clever or fun compared to other stuff out there.
Didn’t encounter any major bugs or problems, which is good I guess. They just felt very… plain. Like a quick project someone put together. So, I just closed the browser tab. Didn’t bookmark it or anything. It was an okay way to spend maybe half an hour, but I don’t think I’ll be rushing back to play ‘word wilson games’ again anytime soon. Just wasn’t really my kind of thing in the end.
