Alright, so yesterday I tried to make some boxing cards. I’ve always been a huge fan of boxing, and I thought, why not try to make some cool cards with my favorite boxers on them?
First, I started by gathering all the stuff I needed. I dug out some old cardboard from a delivery box, grabbed some scissors, glue, and markers, and printed out pictures of some famous boxers. I wanted to make these cards look as legit as possible, you know?
Then, I began cutting the cardboard into card-sized rectangles. It was a bit tricky to get them all the same size, but I managed. After that, I started gluing the pictures of the boxers onto the cardboard. I made sure to smooth out any bubbles so they looked neat and tidy. It is really interesting to see those famous fighters’ images on the cardboard.

Once the glue dried, I started adding details to the cards. I wrote the boxers’ names in bold letters at the top and added some stats at the bottom like their weight class, their height, their record, and their win rate, just like those fancy trading cards you see in stores. I even drew some stars next to the names of the really famous ones, just for fun.
- Featherweight (118 lbs and under)
- Lightweight (119-135 lbs)
- Welterweight (136-160 lbs)
- Heavyweight (161 lbs and over)
The whole process took me a few hours, but it was totally worth it. I ended up with a stack of unique boxing cards. They might not be perfect, but I’m pretty proud of them. It is a good way to show my love for the sport.
Some History About Boxing Cards
I learned that boxing cards have been around since the late 1800s. From the 1880s to 1895, classic sets of boxing cards were issued by cigarette companies. Later, candy makers also started making them. It is so cool, right?
Anyway, it was a fun little project, and now I have a bunch of handmade boxing cards to show off. Maybe I’ll make some more in the future. It’s a great way to combine my love for boxing with a bit of arts and crafts. If you’re a boxing fan too, give it a try!
