Today, I messed around with some Sharp drivers. It’s kinda tricky, but I figured I’d share my experience, maybe it’ll help someone out there.
So, first, I grabbed the latest driver package from the website. You gotta make sure you get the right one for your specific model, otherwise, you’re gonna have a bad time. I made sure I double-checked the model number on my device before I started downloading.
After the download finished, I extracted the files. Usually, they come in a zip file, so you just gotta right-click and hit “Extract All”. Easy peasy. Then I opened the folder where I extracted everything.

Next, I ran the setup file. Usually it’s called “setup” or “install” or something like that. You just double-click it, and it starts doing its thing. A window popped up, and I just followed the instructions on the screen. It’s mostly just clicking “Next” a bunch of times.

- Chose the installation directory (I usually just leave it at the default).
- Waited for the installation to finish. It took a few minutes.
Once the installation was done, it asked me to restart my computer. So I saved all my work and restarted.
After the restart, I checked if the drivers were installed correctly. I went to the Device Manager, and found my device listed there. It had a little exclamation mark next to it before, but now it was gone. That means the drivers were installed properly.
Finally, I tested everything out. I tried printing a document, scanning a picture, and everything worked smoothly. Success!
