Man, UFC 299 was a real barn burner, right? O’Malley versus Vera 2, that’s the fight everyone was talking about. So I tried to make sure I could watch it without any hassle.
First, I searched around for where to watch it. Turns out, there are a bunch of options. I heard something about it being on ESPN, so I went there first. They have a lot of UFC stuff.
Then I checked out Hulu, and they also mentioned streaming the fight. That’s cool, options are good. I saw that it was all going down on March 9th at the Kaseya Center in Miami. Bummer, I wanted to watch it live, but I couldn’t be in Miami.

The main event was Sean O’Malley, the new UFC Bantamweight Champ, going up against Marlon “Chito” Vera. This was a big deal because it was O’Malley’s first title defense, and he was fighting the only guy who ever beat him. Talk about pressure! The co-main event was another big one, and I was pumped for the whole card.
Anyway, I dug around a little more and found out that to watch the whole thing, including the early prelims, I’d need either ESPN+ or UFC Fight Pass. Since I already had ESPN+, I decided to stick with that.
Here’s what I did step-by-step:
- Checked the date and time: Made a note that the event was on March 9th, starting at 2 PM AEDT. I had to figure out the time difference for my location.
- Confirmed the location: Noticed it was at the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida.
- Decided on a streaming platform: Since I have ESPN+, I made sure to use that for the whole event.
- Watched the fight: Settled in on March 9th, snacks ready, and enjoyed the fights!
It was a wild night of fights, that’s for sure! I did notice that the event was live on March 9, 2024. I saw some results later and it looked like a stacked card.
So, yeah, that’s how I got my UFC 299 fix. It was a bit of a process, but worth it in the end. Nothing beats watching a good fight night, especially when there’s a title on the line!
