Okay, so today I decided to dig into this “Steve Reese Portland” thing. I’d heard the name floating around, mostly in connection with art, maybe photography, but I wasn’t really sure. So, naturally, I started with a good old-fashioned search.
First step, I just typed “Steve Reese Portland” into the search bar. Bingo! A bunch of stuff popped up, mostly about some guy who’s apparently a pretty well-known photographer in Portland. I saw images of cityscapes, some cool portraits, and even some nature shots. Seems like a talented dude.
I spent a little while just browsing through some of the image results. I wanted to get a feel for his style. It’s definitely got that Pacific Northwest vibe – a little moody, lots of natural light, and you can tell he really knows how to capture the feel of the city.

Diving Deeper
Next, I started checking out some of the websites that came up. I looked for pages that would gave me more background info.
- Checked out the about section of the websites, tried to find out more about who is Steve Reese.
- Found out that he does do portrait work.
- Realized that it’s really hard to shoot in portland.
After looking at all these, I felt like I had a pretty good handle on who Steve Reese is and the kind of work he does. It was a fun little research project, and I definitely appreciate his photography even more now. Who knows, maybe I’ll even look into buying a print sometime!
