Okay, so today I was trying to solve this crossword, and I was completely stuck on this one clue: “spoil.” I stared at it for like, ten minutes. My brain was totally blank. Nothing.
First, I tried to think of synonyms. You know, like “ruin,” “damage,” “wreck.” I even went through the alphabet in my head, trying to see if any letters sparked an idea. Nope. Still nothing. I felt so frustrated!
Then, I decided to use one of those crossword solver websites. I’m not proud of it, but sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do, right? I typed in “spoil crossword clue” into the search bar, and bam! A whole bunch of options popped up.
- Perish: This one seemed to fit, especially since the clue had to do with food in the puzzle.
- Go Bad: It’s simple, but effective and also related to food.
- Addle:This also looked about right.
- Molder:I thought it maybe was this one at first.
I looked at the number of letters I needed, and it all became clear. It was “Perish”!
How I felt
I filled it in, and finally, the whole crossword started to come together. It’s such a satisfying feeling, even if I had to cheat a little bit. I swear, sometimes those crossword creators are trying to mess with us! Anyway, that was my little adventure for the day. Maybe tomorrow I’ll be able to solve it without any help… maybe.
