Alright, so I was digging around for some info on the Sony Open winners, you know, just to see who’s been killing it on the course over the years. I figured it would be cool to have a list of all the past champions in one place. Here’s how I got to it.
First off, I fired up my browser and hit up my go-to search engine. I typed in “Sony Open past winners” and pressed enter. You wouldn’t believe the amount of stuff that popped up. Pages and pages of articles, stats, and tournament histories. It was a bit overwhelming, to be honest.
So, I started clicking through some of the top results. I skimmed through a bunch of articles. They had some good info, but I was looking for a simple list, not a novel.

Then, I stumbled upon the PGA Tour’s official site. Bingo! They had a whole section dedicated to the Sony Open, with all the past winners listed out nicely. It was exactly what I was looking for.
Digging Through the Data
I started copying down the names and the years they won. It was a bit tedious, but hey, I was on a mission. I made sure to double-check the names and dates, didn’t want to mess up any of those details. Some names kept popping up, those guys who won multiple times. Pretty impressive stuff.
After I had all the names, I decided to organize them a bit. I put them in a simple list, by year. It looked way better than just a messy pile of names.
