Okay, so today I decided to tackle this “regarding” crossword clue thing. I’ve always been kinda intimidated by crosswords, but figured, why not? Let’s dive in!
First, I grabbed a pen and the crossword puzzle. Stared at it for a good five minutes. Yeah, that blank grid was staring right back, mocking me, I swear.
The Hunt Begins
I focused on the clue: “regarding.” My brain immediately went to synonyms. You know, words that mean the same thing, or close enough. I started jotting down anything that came to mind:
- “About”
- “Concerning”
- “On” (as in, “on the subject of…”)
- “Relating to”
- “In reference to”
I then scanned the puzzle, looking for any clues that crossed with the “regarding” one. This is key, folks! The intersecting letters can give you HUGE hints. I found a few that seemed promising, with letters that could potentially fit with some of my synonym ideas. It was like putting together a jigsaw puzzle, only with words.
Trial and Error (Lots of It!)
I started plugging in words. “About” seemed like a good fit at first, but then it messed up another clue. Back to the drawing board. “Concerning” was too long. “On” was too short, but it felt close! I kept playing around, erasing, and rewriting. My paper was looking pretty messy at this point.
The “Aha!” Moment
Then, I noticed something. One of the crossing clues had a letter that could work with “as to”. I tried it, and bam! It fit! Suddenly, other words started falling into place. It was like a chain reaction. The feeling was awesome, like finally cracking a code.
Victory!
I finished, and all the words are correct!
So, that’s my crossword adventure for the day. It was frustrating at times, but super satisfying in the end. Definitely going to try another one soon. Maybe I’ll even time myself next time. Baby steps, right?
