Okay, so I saw this “humorous this sucks card” thing online and thought, “I gotta try making one of these.” It looked pretty simple, and honestly, I needed a good laugh.
Gathering My Supplies (Or What I Could Find)
First, I scrounged around for some materials. I’m not a crafty person, so this was an adventure in itself.
- I found some old cardstock in a drawer – score! It was kinda bent, but whatever.
- Then, I dug out some markers. Most of them were dried out, but I found a few that still worked.
- Scissors? Check. Although they were the kind you use to cut coupons, not really for crafting.
- I even found some googly eyes! No idea where those came from, but they seemed perfect.
The Messy Process
Alright, time to get to work. I folded the cardstock in half, hoping it would look like an actual card. It didn’t, really. More like a mangled piece of paper.

Next, I tried to write “This Sucks” in a funny font. Keyword: tried. My handwriting is atrocious, so it ended up looking like a toddler scribbled it. But hey, that’s part of the charm, right?
Then came the “humorous” part. I drew a stick figure with a frowny face. My artistic skills are, shall we say, limited. I stuck on the googly eyes, which instantly made it 100% funnier. One eye was slightly higher than the other, giving it a deranged look. Perfect!
The Final (Hilarious?) Result
I stepped back to admire my creation. It was… something. Definitely not Pinterest-worthy, but it made me chuckle. The cardstock was wonky, the writing was messy, and the drawing was… well, you get the picture. But you know what? It totally captured the “This Sucks” vibe.
I ended up giving the card to my friend who was having a rough week. She burst out laughing, so I guess my mission was accomplished. It just goes to show, you don’t need fancy supplies or artistic talent to make something funny. Sometimes, the messier, the better!
