Okay, here’s my blog post about my “Native American with boxing gloves” art project:
So, I had this crazy idea the other day. I wanted to combine two things that don’t usually go together: Native American imagery and boxing. Seemed like a weird mashup, right? But I was curious to see if I could make it work.
Getting Started
First, I started sketching. Just rough ideas, you know? I drew a bunch of Native American figures in different poses. Some were standing, some were sitting, some were in more dynamic, action-y poses. I played around with different headdresses and facial features, trying to get a feel for the look I wanted.

Then, I added the boxing gloves. This was trickier than I thought. I had to figure out how the gloves would fit with the rest of the outfit. Would they be modern-looking gloves? Or something more traditional? I experimented with different styles and sizes.
Finding References
I knew I needed some good references,I looked up pictures of Native American clothing and regalia.I also studied images of boxers, both modern and from the past. It was important to get the details right, like how the gloves are laced and how the fighters hold their hands.
Putting it Together
Once I had a good handle on the references, I started refining my sketches. I chose my favorite pose and began working on the details. I focused on getting the anatomy right and making the figure look powerful and balanced.
I redrew parts of it many times, when it finally started to look like something. It was a slow process.

The Final Result
I think It’s definitely unique, and it makes you think. What it’s all about, it’s up to you.
