Okay, so I’ve been digging into football stats lately, specifically looking at how England and the USA stack up against each other historically. It’s a fun comparison, and I wanted to see the actual numbers for myself.
First, I started by just Googling around, you know, “England vs USA football history” and stuff like that. I found some general articles, but I wanted the raw data. I wanted to make a record by myself.
Then, I remembered a few websites that usually have sports statistics. So I checked those out.

I started entering the names of both national teams. It was pretty straightforward. I could select “England” and “USA” and then choose to view their head-to-head record.
- I made sure I was looking at all matches, not just, like, World Cup games or friendlies. I wanted the complete picture.
- The website displayed a neat table with all the matches, dates, scores, and the type of match (friendly, World Cup, etc.).
I spent some time scrolling through the results. It’s pretty interesting to see how the matches have gone over the years. There are some real blowouts and some close calls. And I am a big fan of football.
Then I start to record the data I found.
My Findings
I won’t bore you with every single detail, but basically, I saw that England has a clear advantage, historically * is a very interesting result!
This whole process took me, I don’t know, maybe a half-hour total? It wasn’t super complicated, but it was satisfying to find the information I was looking for and to check this competition record myself.

Anyway, that’s my little data adventure for today. Hopefully, you found this somewhat interesting. Now you can also go and find something you interested in too.
