Okay, so I wanted to see who won the RBC Heritage over the years, you know, just out of curiosity. So, first thing I did was fire up my laptop and open the browser. Then I punched in some keywords into the search engine, something like “RBC Heritage past winners list.”
The search engine did its thing, and boom, a bunch of results popped up. I skimmed through a few pages, and then I hit the jackpot. I found this site, , that had a whole database of RBC Heritage results. It was pretty neat, laid out all simple and easy to read.
As I started going through the list, I noticed some guys had won it multiple times. Turns out, eight players have won it twice. But get this, one guy, Hale Irwin, he won it three times! In 1971, 1973, and then again in 1994. That’s some serious golfing, right there.

Then I got to reading about this year’s tournament. And it turns out everyone was expecting that Scottie Scheffler wouldn’t win. And why is that? It’s because nobody has won a major championship and then a TOUR event the very next week since Tiger did it in 2006. And the last time anyone bagged the Masters and the RBC back-to-back was way back in ’85 with a golfer by the name of Bernhard Langer.
Apparently, everyone thought that Scottie Scheffler, this golf sensation, was on such a hot streak that the only thing that could slow him down was… a baby? That’s what they are saying. His odds were crazy, like +400 to win. Then there is Xander Schauffele, he was next in line with +1000 odds, and Ludvig Aberg was also up there at +1400.
Tiger Woods at the RBC Heritage
- I also found something about Tiger Woods. He only played in the RBC Heritage once, back in 1999. It was called the MCI Classic back then. And guess what? He finished T18. Not bad, but not his usual top spot.
So yeah, that’s pretty much what I found out today about the RBC Heritage and its past winners. It was a fun little dive into golf history. Hope you found it interesting too!
