So, I was thinking about getting a new hat, and I’ve been eyeing this Las Vegas Athletics one for a while. I mean, the A’s are moving to Vegas, right? It’s all over the news. I wanted to be ahead of the curve and show my support, or maybe just jump on the bandwagon a little early.
First, I started looking around online to see what’s out there. Not many official ones yet, surprisingly. You’d think they’d be all over this, but I guess they’re waiting for the big move. Anyway, I found some fan-made designs, some pretty cool, some, well, not so much.
Then I decided to check out some local sports stores. I drove to a couple of places, asked around, but no luck. One guy at a store even said something about new synthetic turf for their park in 2025, I didn’t get it, but it sounded like they’re really prepping for the move. But still, no hats. The place is called Sutter Health Park. That sounds important.

- Visited local sports stores
- Asked about Las Vegas Athletics hats
- Heard about stadium preparations
I got a bit frustrated, not gonna lie. But then I remembered reading something about the New Mexico men’s basketball team playing in Las Vegas. I think the article mentioned No. 22 UCLA. So, I figured, maybe there’s a connection? Maybe they’re selling some merch related to the game? A long shot, but hey, I was desperate.
Digging Deeper
I did some more digging, mostly on sports forums and fan pages. It was kind of a mess, but I started seeing people talking about custom hats. And, bam, I realized that’s probably the way to go, at least for now. Also, I saw some news that Dave Kaval, who is the president of the A’s, had a bad idea and made me wonder if he is sabotaging another stadium deal. I can’t remember the details, though.
So, I ended up finding a site where you can design your own hat. I played around with the colors, the logo – which I had to kind of make myself since there’s no official one yet – and placed my order. It wasn’t cheap, but I thought, “What the heck, it’s a piece of history… kind of.”
Now I’m just waiting for it to arrive. I’ll definitely post a picture when it gets here. It might not be official, but it’s my way of saying, “I’m ready for some baseball in Vegas!” Even if the team’s name is a bit controversial right now, I’m still excited.
Anyway, that’s my little adventure for a Las Vegas Athletics hat. It’s been a bit of a journey, but I think it’ll be worth it in the end. Or at least, that’s what I’m telling myself.
