Okay, so I saw this “black heart nyt crossword” thing trending and, like, I had to try it. I’m not a crossword genius or anything, but I do enjoy a good puzzle, and the “black heart” part sounded kinda mysterious and cool.
First, I went straight to the source, you know. I bring up the New York Times crossword page. I figured it would be a recent puzzle, so I started checking the daily ones.
I looked through a few of the recent daily puzzles. Scrolling, scrolling… nothing. I started to think maybe it was a special edition thing, or maybe I misheard “black heart”? Doubt crept in – was this even a real thing?

I started getting a little frustrated, So, I decided to change my strategy.
- Check Minis and Midis,Just In Case. I went back and made double sure. Maybe it’s a smaller and shorter one? Nope. Still nothing.
- Think outside of box.I am thinking maybe it’s not literally called “black heart”? So I began looking for heart-related clues or themes in the puzzles themselves.
And that, finally, I found the key! Bingo!
I started filling in the answers, using the across clues and the down clues to help each other out. That’s the fun part, right? Seeing how it all connects.
I went slow and steady, the key is to find the right clues and solve it with the right solution. After all the process, finally, I did it! Finished the whole thing. Felt pretty good, not gonna lie. Even though it took me a bit longer, the feeling of solving is really amazing.
