Alright, so today I wanted to mess around with something I saw online – these “Max Holloway flags.” I’m not even a huge MMA fan, but the whole concept seemed kinda cool, and I wanted to see if I could make one myself. So, I fired up my computer, ready to dive in.
Getting Started
First, I needed to find, you know, what a Max Holloway flag even looks like. A quick search showed me a bunch of different variations, mostly based around the Hawaiian flag, since that’s where he’s from. Some had his face, some had slogans, some were just straight-up the Hawaiian flag. I decided to keep it simple and start with the basic flag.
The Process
I already had image editor I played sometimes on my computer, so I used that.I’m no expert, but I know the basics.

- I opened a new file, making sure it was a decent size – not too small, not too huge.
- Next, I found a good image of the Hawaiian flag online and copy-pasted it in. Easy peasy.
- Then came the slightly trickier part. I wanted to add some text, maybe “Blessed Era” or something like that, since that’s one of his nicknames. I picked a font that looked kinda tough, but still readable, and played around with the size and placement until it looked okay.
- I also messed with the colors a bit. The standard Hawaiian flag colors are pretty bold, but I wanted to see if I could make them a little more…intense. I ended up darkening the red and blue a bit, just to give it a more aggressive vibe.
Honestly, the whole thing took me maybe an hour, tops. It wasn’t rocket science, but it was fun to just tinker around and see what I could come up with.
The Final Result
I ended up with a pretty cool-looking flag, if I do say so myself. It’s nothing fancy, but it definitely captures the, uh, “spirit” of Max Holloway, I guess. I even printed it out and taped it to my wall, just for * looked good!
It might not be perfect, but I made it myself, and that’s what counts, right? Maybe next time I’ll try something more complicated, like adding his face or some other graphics. But for a first attempt, I’m pretty happy with it.
