Okay, so today I’m diving into day 15 of my 65-day challenge. Gotta say, it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster, but I’m hanging in there!
Getting Started
I kicked things off this morning feeling pretty sluggish. Didn’t get the best sleep, to be honest. But, I knew I had to get moving, so I chugged some water and forced myself to do a quick workout. Nothing fancy, just some jumping jacks and push-ups to wake up my body.
The Thick of It
After that, I sat down to tackle the main task for the day. For this challenge, I’m working on improving my drawing skills, specifically portraits. So, I found a reference photo – a really cool picture of an old man with a fantastic beard – and got to work.
It was rough going at first. I kept messing up the proportions, and the eyes were giving me a real headache. I probably erased the same line about twenty times! But, I stuck with it. I took some breaks, watched a couple of tutorials online, and kept reminding myself that it’s all about practice.
- Started with a basic outline of the head.
- Tried to capture the main shapes and angles.
- Struggled with the eyes (as usual!).
- Worked on the beard – surprisingly fun!
- Added some shading to give it depth.
Wrapping Up
After a few hours, I decided to call it a day. It’s definitely not perfect, but I can see some improvement compared to my earlier attempts. That’s the main thing, right? Progress, not perfection. I snapped a picture of the drawing to keep track of how I’m doing, it help me to stay motivated and see that I’m able to do this.
So, yeah, day 15 is in the books. Feeling pretty good about sticking with it, even when it gets tough. Now, time for some food and maybe a movie. Gotta recharge those batteries!
