Okay, so today I wanted to check out this place called Whittaker Guns LLC. I’d heard some buzz about it, figured it was worth a look. So, I got in my car this morning and drove over there. It wasn’t too far, which was nice.
First thing I did was walk around the outside. Just wanted to get a feel for the place, you know? It’s a pretty big building, lots of parking, which is always a plus. After circling the building, I decided to head inside.
Stepping inside, the first thing that hit me was the sheer number of firearms they had. I mean, rows and rows of rifles, handguns, shotguns, you name it. It was a bit overwhelming, to be honest. I started by browsing the rifles section. They had everything from bolt-action hunting rifles to more modern sporting rifles. I spent a good chunk of time there, just looking at the different models, feeling the weight of a few, and imagining myself out in the field.
After that, I moved on to the handgun section. Again, tons of options. I’m not really in the market for a handgun right now, but it was still cool to see the variety they had. I noticed they also had a decent selection of ammo, which is always important.

I didn’t end up buying anything today. It was more of a reconnaissance mission. But I did chat with one of the guys working there. Seemed pretty knowledgeable, answered a few questions I had without any pressure to buy. That’s always appreciated.
Overall Impression
It’s definitely a place I’d go back to if I was looking to make a purchase. They’ve got a huge selection, the staff seemed friendly and helpful, and the prices seemed reasonable from what I could tell. It wasn’t a bad way to spend an afternoon, even if I didn’t walk out with a new gun.
