Okay, so today I’m gonna spill the beans about my little adventure trying to find Dr. Jacoby in Covington, Georgia. It was a whole thing, let me tell you.
First off, I started by just Googling “Dr. Jacoby Covington Georgia.” Seemed logical, right? Got a few hits, mostly directories and stuff. Nothing super helpful, but a starting point.
Next, I dug a little deeper. I remembered seeing a sign for a clinic somewhere around the square. So I drove into Covington and started cruising around. I literally drove around the square, like, three times. Seriously, you wouldn’t believe how many doctor’s offices there are in that town!

Then I thought, “Okay, maybe I’m being too broad.” I tried to remember what kind of doctor Jacoby was supposed to be. Family practice? Internal medicine? Couldn’t recall. So I decided to hit up the local pharmacy. Figured if he was a real doctor, they’d know him.
Walked into the pharmacy and asked the pharmacist if they knew a Dr. Jacoby. The guy looked at me like I had three heads. He mumbled something about “never heard of him,” and went back to counting pills. Strike one.
Getting a bit frustrated, I decided to change tactics. I parked the car and actually walked around the square, looking closely at every building, every sign. I checked all the medical buildings I could find, looking for a nameplate or anything that even resembled “Jacoby.” Nada.
At this point, I was ready to give up. Maybe Dr. Jacoby was some kind of urban legend. But then, I remembered something my grandma used to say: “When all else fails, ask a local.”
So, I walked into a little diner on the square – a place that looked like it had been there forever. Sat at the counter and ordered a coffee. When the waitress came over, I just flat-out asked her, “Hey, you know a Dr. Jacoby around here?”

She paused for a second, then her eyes lit up. “Oh, Dr. Jacoby! Sure, he used to be down on Elm Street, but he moved his practice a few years back. He’s over on Highway 278 now, near the Walmart.”
BOOM! That was the key. Highway 278. I thanked the waitress profusely, finished my coffee, and jumped back in the car. Drove out to Highway 278, and sure enough, after a few minutes, I spotted the sign: “Dr. Jacoby’s Family Practice.”
- Started with a simple Google search.
- Drove around the square in Covington, Georgia.
- Asked the pharmacist – no luck.
- Walked around, checking every building.
- Finally, asked a local at a diner.
- Found him on Highway 278!
What a wild goose chase! But hey, I found him. The lesson? Sometimes, the old-fashioned way is the best way. Forget the internet, just ask a real person!
