Okay, so today I decided to tackle this “learned crossword clue” thing. I’d seen it pop up in puzzles a few times, and I was always stumped. Time to figure this out, once and for all.
First, I grabbed my phone and opened up a crossword puzzle app. I scrolled through a few until I found one that looked challenging, but not impossible. You know, gotta start somewhere!
Then, I started working through the puzzle, filling in the easy answers, the ones I knew right away. This gave me a few crossing letters to work with. I find that’s always a good strategy – get the easy stuff down, then use those to crack the tougher clues.
Digging Deeper
I came across a clue that read something like “Scholarly, well-read.” “Learned”! That had to be it. But, I wasn’t 100% sure. I had a couple of letters from other answers, but it could have been a few different words.
I really wanted to put it with my own power.
- So I typed the clue into a search engine.
- And the results showed me that crossword help sites and forums.
- I clicked a few, did some checking. Bingo! “Learned” was definitely a common answer.
I went back to my puzzle and confidently filled in “LEARNED”. It fit perfectly! And, even better, it helped me solve a couple of other clues that I’d been stuck on.
So, yeah, that’s how I tackled the “learned crossword clue” today. Feels good to add another word to my crossword-solving arsenal. Now, bring on the next puzzle!
