Okay, so I’ve been trying to put together a schedule for the John Stark football team for 2024. It’s been a bit of a wild ride, let me tell you.
First, I started by checking out a couple of the usual sports websites. You know, the big ones that usually have all this info. But, no luck. They had stuff from previous years, but nothing solid on 2024. Kind of annoying, right?
Then, I hit up some fan forums. I figured, if anyone knows, it’s the die-hard fans. I browsed through a bunch of threads, and while there was a lot of speculation, I didn’t find anything concrete. People were talking about potential games, but it was all hearsay. I did run into some chatter about a game on October 12th against Hanover, though, supposedly starting at 12:00 PM EDT in Weare. Interesting, but I needed more than just one game.
So, I decided to go straight to the source. I went to the John Stark Regional High School website. I navigated through their athletics section, hoping they’d have the schedule posted. They had some info on the coaching staff, team news, and even some older schedules, but the 2024 schedule was nowhere to be found. Seriously, why is this so hard?
Feeling a bit defeated, I took another look at those search results. I spotted a couple more sites, like MaxPreps and *, but they were just as unhelpful. It was like everyone knew about the team but not their schedule.
Next, I thought maybe I could find something through the youth football associations. I checked out the John Stark Jr. Generals Football Association’s website. They had stuff about their board members, contact info, and team details, but again, nothing on the high school team’s 2024 schedule. It was all about the youth teams.
I did stumble upon something related to a JSR camp, which is something, I guess. It gave some dates: August 16th, 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM, August 17th, 10:15 AM to 1:00 PM, and then August 19th to 23rd, 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM, with something also happening on August 24th. It’s not the game schedule, but hey, it’s a start.
I even found some stats for a player named Joey Dykstra. Looks like he played 6 games, completed 18 out of 38 passes, and had 384 yards. It’s cool to see some player stats, but it doesn’t really help with the schedule.
Finally, after all that digging, I found this one website that mentioned a regular-season game schedule. It had a game on September 7th, a win against Merrimack Valley, 14-6. Then it listed a game on September 13th against Pelham, starting at 7:00 PM EDT. Finally, some actual games! This website said it was powered by SportsEngine’s software. I have no idea if that makes it more reliable, but it’s the best lead I’ve got so far.

- August 17 (Camp at JSRHS), 10:15 AM – 1:00 PM
- August 19-23, 4:30 PM – 7:00 PM
- August 24 – TBD
- Sat Sep 7, W 14-6 Merrimack Valley
- Fri Sep 13, – @ Pelham (1-0) 7:00 PM EDT
- October 12th, against Hanover, starting at 12:00 PM EDT in Weare.
So, yeah, it’s still a work in progress. I’ll keep digging and update this post when I find more. If any of you have any leads, please let me know! This has been way more of an adventure than I expected.
