Okay, so today I wanted to try my hand at predicting the Ipswich v Everton match, specifically the half-time result. I’ve been messing around with this for a while, and figured I’d share my process, even if it’s probably a bit rough around the edges.
First, I started digging around for any information I could find. You know, recent form, head-to-head records, team news, anything that could possibly give a clue.
I started to look at recent scores for both teams.

- Ipswich: I wanted to see if they tend to start strong, fade in the second half, or the other way around.
- Everton: Same thing, really. Are they quick out of the blocks, or do they take a while to warm up?
Then, I checked out how these two teams have historically played against each other. Some teams just have a mental block against certain opponents, you know?
Putting it all together (Or Trying To)
After gathering a bunch of info, it was time to make a guess. Honestly, it felt like a bit of a shot in the dark, with a little bit of thinking to make it work.
So I consider to predict a draw at half-time (0-0 or maybe 1-1). But there’s so much that can happen in a football match, it’s really tough to say for sure!
I recorded my prediction, and then… I waited for the match. It’s kind of fun to see if your hunches pan out, even if you’re totally off sometimes.
In the end it turned out to be… Well, you’ll have to look up the actual half-time score to see how I did! This whole thing is more about the process of trying to figure it out, than actually being right all the time. Or even most of the time!
