Okay, so I saw this headline, “Austin Dillon Wins Fontana,” and I was like, “No way, I gotta see this.” I’m not a huge NASCAR guy, but I respect it, and I love a good underdog story. So, I started digging in.
First, I scrolled through some news articles. Just trying to get the basic facts. Who, what, when, where, why. Get the gist of it, you know?
My Research Process
- Started with general news, like i said.
- Looked for videos, high lights of the race or final lap.
- Found social media reaction, Twitter’s are good. See what the fans and other drivers are saying.
Then I went to YouTube. I figured there had to be some good footage of the race, especially the finish. I mean, that’s the best part, right? The final laps are the ones that you must pay attention to.

I found a couple of fan-shot videos from the stands. Kinda shaky, but you could feel the energy. People were going nuts! It was awesome.
After that, I jumped on Twitter. Wanted to see what the racing world was saying. Lots of congrats to Dillon, some surprise, some people saying they called it. You know, the usual Twitter stuff.
I even checked out Dillon’s Twitter page. He was pretty pumped, as you’d expect. Lots of thank yous to his team and sponsors. Standard stuff, but cool to see.
Then I searched the history of this game, and it was * Austin Dillon’s performace was excellent.
Basically, I just immersed myself in the whole thing for a bit. Read, watched, scrolled, repeat. It’s kinda fun to do that, even if you’re not a die-hard fan. You get caught up in the excitement.
