Okay, so I wanted to check out Doyt Perry Stadium, you know, see what it’s all about. I’d heard some things, seen some pictures, but nothing beats going there yourself, right?
First thing I did was, I looked it up online. Just wanted to get the basic info, like where it is exactly, and what the parking situation is like. I hate driving around forever looking for a spot.
Then, I checked the schedule. No point in going if there’s nothing happening, right? Luckily, there was a game on. I am not big fan of football, but any game is ok for me, just wanted to feel it.

So, game day arrived, and I headed over. Traffic was a bit of a mess, as always, but I found parking eventually. Not too far of a walk, which was good.
Getting Inside The Stadium
Walked up to the stadium. The building looks bigger and grander in person, I should say that.
- The design is old, not a big modern art.
- There were many gates with letters, also a big gate at the center.
Got my ticket scanned—no problems there—and walked inside. That first view of the field… pretty impressive, I gotta admit. It’s just this huge expanse of green, even if you’re not a huge sports fan, you can appreciate it.
I wandered around a bit, checking out the concession stands. The usual stuff – hot dogs, popcorn, drinks. Nothing fancy, but it hit the spot.
Find a Good Spot
Then I found a seat. Not the best view, but I could see everything just fine. The crowd started filling in, and the energy started to build. You could feel the excitement.

The game itself was… well, a game. Lots of cheering, some groans, the usual stuff. I’m not going to pretend I followed every play, but it was fun to be part of the atmosphere. Cheered with the crowd, that was good.
After the game, I headed out with the crowd. Took a while to get back to my car, but that’s to be expected.
Overall Experience
Overall, it was a good experience. It’s not something I’d do every weekend, but it was cool to see the stadium, be part of the crowd, and just soak it all in. I might go back for another game sometime, maybe when the weather’s a bit nicer. It’s a solid way to spend an afternoon, that’s for sure.
