Okay, so I’ve been seeing a lot of chatter online about pro players ditching Valorant, and I wanted to dig into it myself. I’m not a pro, far from it, but I do play a fair bit, and I was curious about what’s going on.
My Little Investigation
First, I jumped onto some Valorant forums and Reddit threads. Gotta get the gossip, right? I saw a bunch of different reasons being thrown around.
- Burnout: Some folks were saying the grind is just too much. Playing at that level, it’s like, non-stop practice and tournaments. I can totally see how that would get old.
- Meta Changes: Apparently, some pros aren’t happy with the way the game is evolving. New agents, weapon changes, you know, the usual stuff. Some people just don’t vibe with the new direction.
- Other Games: Let’s be real, there are other cool games out there. Some players might just be tempted to try something new, or maybe they’re better at a different game.
- Money: It has something to do with the money, maybe they think the money from valorant isn’t worth the time they spend practicing.
After reading all that, I decided to watch some streams and YouTube videos of ex-Valorant pros. I wanted to hear it straight from the horse’s mouth, you know?

What I found was… a mix of everything. Some players confirmed the burnout, others talked about the meta, and some just said they wanted a change of pace. No big conspiracy, just different people with different reasons.
So, I guess the big takeaway is that there’s no single reason why some pro players are leaving Valorant. It’s a personal thing, and it’s probably always going to be that way. Games change, people change, and that’s just how it is.
I’ll still playing though!
