So, I’ve been wanting to make a banner celebrating the Dodgers’ World Series wins. I’m a huge fan, and I wanted something cool to hang up in my place. I figured, why not make it myself? Here’s how I did it.
Gathering My Supplies
First things first, I needed to get all my materials together. I went to the local craft store and picked up:
- A big piece of blue fabric. I wanted it to be Dodger blue, obviously.
- White felt. This was for the letters and numbers.
- Fabric glue. Gotta make sure everything sticks!
- Scissors. For cutting, duh.
- A ruler and a pencil. To keep things straight and even.
- Some wooden dowels. To hang the banner.
- String. Also for hanging.
Designing and Cutting
Next, I had to figure out the design. I wanted it to be simple but clear. I decided to just list the years the Dodgers won the World Series. I sketched out the numbers on the white felt, making sure they were big enough to read from a distance. Then, I carefully cut them out. This part took a while because I wanted the edges to be neat.

Gluing Everything Together
After cutting all felt.
I laid out the blue fabric on the floor and arranged the numbers on it.
Once I was happy with the placement, I started gluing.
I put a thin layer of fabric glue on the back of each number and pressed it down firmly onto the fabric.

Adding the Finishing Touches
Once the glue was dry, I attached the wooden dowels to the top and bottom of the banner. I just wrapped the fabric around the dowels and glued it down. Then, I tied the string to the top dowel so I could hang it up.
Hanging it Up!
Finally, the moment of truth! I found a good spot on my wall and hung up the banner. It looked awesome! It’s not perfect, but I made it myself, and it’s a great way to show off my Dodgers pride. Every time I look at it, it reminds me of those awesome World Series wins. Go Dodgers!
