Okay, so I’ve been seeing this “Danger Jones Red” hair dye all over my socials, and the colors are just screaming at me. I had to try it. My hair was a faded, sad mess of… well, I don’t even know what color it was anymore. So, I took the plunge.
Getting Started
First, I grabbed the Danger Jones red shade that I thought would look best. I went with a vibrant, almost cherry-red color. I also picked up some developer (because this isn’t a direct dye, you gotta mix it!), gloves, a bowl, and a brush. You know, the usual hair-dying setup.
The Mixing & Messy Part
I dumped the dye into the bowl and then added the developer. Make sure you got the correct use. After this, I used the brush to mixed the dye. Time to get messy!

- I sectioned my hair, because even though I’m no professional, I know that’s important for even coverage.
- Then I slathered that red mixture all over my hair, starting at the roots. It was a bit drippy, I won’t lie.
- I really worked it in, making sure every single strand was coated in that glorious red. My hands were a disaster, even with gloves.
Waiting & Hoping
Once my hair was completely covered, I wrapped it up in some plastic wrap (cling film, whatever you call it) to keep the heat in and help the color develop. Then came the waiting…which is always the hardest part. I set the timer,I waited for the processing time recommended on the instructions.
The Big Reveal
Finally, the timer buzzed. Time to rinse! I hopped in the shower and rinsed my hair with cool water until it ran clear.
And…WOW. The color was INTENSE. Exactly what I wanted! It was bright, vibrant, and even. My hair looked so much healthier and shinier, too. I styled it with a bit of product, and seriously, I felt like a whole new person.
I’m totally sold on Danger Jones now. The color payoff is amazing, and it wasn’t any harder to use than other box dyes I’ve tried. If you’re looking for a bold red, definitely give this a shot!
