Alright, let’s dive into this. I had a bit of a head-scratcher today trying to figure out which one of these football guys to pick for my fantasy team: Carson Steele or Samaje Perine. I spent a good chunk of the afternoon just going back and forth on it.
First, I tried to look up some info on them. Nothing too fancy, just browsed around to see what the internet had to say. What I found out is, they haven’t really used them a lot this season. It was kind of a bummer, not a whole lot to go on from there.
So then, I thought, okay, let’s check out what the “experts” say. I headed over to a few of those fantasy football sites. You know, the ones with all the rankings and advice and stuff. I spent a good while comparing their stats, reading what these so-called experts had to say about them.

After that, I decided to dig a little deeper. I found this tool online where you can compare players head-to-head. I plugged in Steele and Perine, and it gave me some recommendations, their rankings, and all that jazz. It was actually pretty neat. It showed a percentage thing for how often they play.
- Steele, it said he’s only played like 17% of the time.
- Perine, they’ve used him a bit more.
But still, even with all that, I was still on the fence. I mean, these are supposed to be the experts, right? But it felt like they were just guessing half the time, just like me! I flipped back and forth between their profiles like a madman, trying to find some hidden clue that would make my decision for me.
Finally, I just said, “screw it,” and went with my gut. I ended up picking Perine. Don’t ask me why. Maybe it was his name, maybe it was just a feeling. Who knows? At least the choice is made, and I can stop pulling my hair out over it.
Honestly, it’s all just a crapshoot anyway. But hey, that’s fantasy football for you. You do all this research, you read all the articles, and in the end, you’re still just crossing your fingers and hoping for the best. It’s kind of fun, in a frustrating sort of way.
I’ll keep you guys posted on how it goes. Maybe I’ll get lucky, maybe I won’t. But either way, I’ll have a good story to tell. That’s what it’s all about, right? The stories. And maybe, just maybe, bragging rights if my random guess turns out to be a winner.

Anyways, that was my afternoon. Wrestling with a fantasy football dilemma. Now, I’m gonna go grab a beer and try to forget about it for a while. Cheers!
