So, I decided it was time to get a dart board for the basement. You know, for some fun when friends come over. But not just any dart board, I wanted one of those cool cabinets to keep it in. Class it up a bit, right?
First thing, I checked out some websites to see what was out there. Looked at a bunch, and finally settled on a decent-looking cabinet with a board included. Nothing too fancy, just a simple wooden one. Then, I placed my order.
A few days later, a big box showed up at my door. I grabbed my tools – drill, screwdriver, level, that sort of thing, and I tore into that box.

Now, I had to figure out where to put this thing. The instructions said the bullseye should be 5 feet 8 inches from the floor. I measured that out and made a little mark on the wall with a pencil. I also measured the throwing line, which should be 7 feet 9.25 inches from the front of the dartboard, and marked that on the floor.

Then came the fun part – hanging the cabinet. I held it up against the wall, lined up my mark with the bullseye, and used the level to make sure it was straight. After that, I marked where the screws needed to go, drilled some pilot holes, and then screwed that cabinet onto the wall. It wasn’t too difficult, honestly.
Next, I hung the dart board inside the cabinet. It just slid right into these little grooves. Easy peasy. I stepped back to admire my handiwork, felt pretty good about it.
I grabbed the darts that came with the set and took a few practice throws. The darts stuck into the board just fine. I think this is going to be a lot of fun. I’ve already invited some friends over for a game this weekend. Let’s see if I can win the game!
And that’s about it. Nothing too complicated, just a little DIY project that turned out pretty well. Now I’ve got a cool dart board setup in my basement. Ready for some friendly competition. That’s what I call a win!
