Okay, so I’ve been hearing a lot about this “Brian Reese Lacrosse” guy, and I figured, why not dive in and see what all the fuss is about? I mean, I’ve played a bit of pick-up lacrosse in my time, nothing serious, but enough to know the basics. So, I started my little investigation, my personal deep dive.
First thing I did? Hit up the search engines. Gotta start somewhere, right? I typed in “Brian Reese Lacrosse” and, boom, a ton of stuff popped up. I sifted through it. I was trying to find good drills, and good advice to get better at the sport.
Watching Brian Reese
Next, I wanted to actually see this guy in action. I looked through online videos. I watched a bunch of clips, some of them multiple times. I was really focusing on his technique, how he cradled the ball, his shooting form, everything.

I spent, I don’t know, maybe a couple of hours just watching videos. You know, pausing, rewinding, trying to really absorb what he was * got repetitive after a while, and my eyes start to blurr.
- I tried to mimic some of his moves in my backyard.
- I grabbed my old stick.
- I practiced cradling, passing against a wall, even tried a few shots (don’t tell my neighbors!).
Honestly, I felt a little silly at first. I’m no athlete, and my coordination isn’t exactly top-notch. But you know what? It was actually kind of fun. After about an hour of messing around, I started to feel a little bit more comfortable with the stick, a little bit more fluid in my movements.
My Brian Reese Takeaways
So, after my little Brian Reese experiment, what did I learn? Well, I definitely picked up a few things. I realized how important the fundamentals are, like really mastering the basic cradling and passing techniques. I also saw how much power and accuracy you can generate when you use your whole body, not just your arms. I had to keep moving to improve.
Will I become the next Brian Reese? Probably not. But did I improve my (very) basic lacrosse skills and have a bit of fun in the process? Absolutely. And hey, that’s a win in my book.
