Alright, so, I’ve been digging into this whole Nelly Korda thing. What a rollercoaster, right? I started by just browsing the news this morning, coffee in hand, and boom – Nelly Korda’s name was popping up everywhere. This pro golfer, she’s been making some serious waves, and I got hooked.
First, I started checking out what she’s been up to recently. Turns out, she’s been on fire! She tied an LPGA record with five straight wins. Five! Can you believe that? I mean, I can barely win a game of mini-golf, let alone five professional tournaments in a row. And her sister Jessica Korda, she has 6 wins, but Nelly, wow, she got 20 wins and two Majors. That’s pretty cool.
Then I dived a little deeper. I read this announcement where she mentioned shaking things up for her 2025 season plans. Now, I’m no golf expert, but that sounds like big news. She’s already achieved so much, so seeing her wanting to change things up, it got me curious. I was like, “What’s she gonna do next?”

- Checked her recent performance.
- Read about her 2025 season plans.
- Looked into her earnings and endorsements.
And get this – I stumbled upon this list of the highest-paid female athletes, and guess who’s on it? Nelly Korda, right up there at number 8! We’re talking $14.4 million in earnings. Apparently, $4.4 million is from her winnings on the course, and a whopping $10 million from endorsements. I was blown away. That’s more money than I’ll probably see in my lifetime, and she’s earning it by playing golf! Incredible, right?
Then I also found something called the Solheim Cup. I’ve never heard it before. But it said that she and someone called Allisen Corpuz, they’re the first American duo to win three straight alternate-shot matches in it. I’m not really sure what that means, but I’m guessing it’s hard to do. So, good job to them.
So What’s the Big Deal?
Well, from what I gathered, Nelly’s not just some golfer, she’s a big deal in women’s golf. She’s winning tournaments left and right, she’s making bank, and she’s changing the game. I found out that LPGA has lost sponsors, players have retired early, and their TV ratings have taken a hit in the past 3 years. But seeing someone like Nelly doing so well, it gives me a little hope that things might turn around. Also, she apologized ahead of the BMW Ladies Championship. I didn’t look too much into it. Probably not that big of a deal.
Honestly, I just wanted to share my little Nelly Korda exploration. It’s always fascinating to see someone at the top of their game, you know? Plus, it’s inspiring to see a woman killing it in a sport like golf. 16 starts, 11 top-10 finishes, seven victories, three missed cuts, and almost $4.4 million in earnings. I guess this is why she’s one of the most recognizable stars in women’s golf.
It started as a simple news browse and ended with me being totally impressed by Nelly Korda. She is like Nancy Lopez and Beth Daniel. They are the only other Americans since 1970 with seven or more victories in a single season. So yeah, she is a big deal, and I will definitely be following her career more closely now. Who knows, maybe I’ll even start watching golf, haha.

I just felt like sharing this with you all. Let me know what you think, or if you’ve been following Nelly Korda’s journey too. I’d love to hear your thoughts!
