Alright, so I wanted to figure out who the best NBA centers were back in the 2000s. It’s a fun little project I decided to take on, nothing too serious, just for my own curiosity.
First, I started by making a list of all the centers I could remember from that era. You know, the big names, the guys who were always in the highlights.
My Initial List
- Shaquille O’Neal
- Tim Duncan
- Yao Ming
- Ben Wallace
- Dwight Howard
- And a few others that popped into my head.
Then, I went online to do some digging. I checked out some old articles, forum discussions, and, of course, stats websites. I wanted to see what other people thought and get some hard numbers to back up my opinions. Lots of forums were arguing about it, which was pretty entertaining.

I spent a good chunk of time just reading through old game recaps and player profiles. I wanted to get a feel for how dominant these guys really were, not just look at the numbers. It brought back memories of watching those games!
After that, I started comparing their stats – points, rebounds, blocks, you name it. I even looked at things like All-Star appearances and championships won, to get the full picture. It’s kind of like being a detective, piecing all the evidence together.
It is not easy to make a decision because each player has his own unique advantages.I can only say that from my personal point of view, it must be O’Neal.
