Okay, so I wanted to make a cool “sec logo alabama” thing. I’m not a designer, but I figured I could mess around and come up with something decent. First, I needed to get the basics down.
Getting the Images
I started by hitting up the internet to grab the official SEC logo and the Alabama Crimson Tide logo. I just wanted clean, high-resolution versions of each. You know, the ones that look crisp and professional. That part was pretty easy, just a quick search and download.
Putting it Together
Next, I opened up my trusty old image editing software. Nothing fancy, just something I’m comfortable with. I created a new canvas, playing around with different background colors at first. I considered using a crimson color to match Alabama’s colors, but ended up settling on a simple white background, I just wanted it clean.

I then imported both logos into the software. This is where the real work started. I spent a good chunk of time just resizing and positioning the logos. I didn’t want one to overpower the other, so it was all about finding the right balance. It’s kind of like arranging furniture in a room, you keep moving things around until it feels right.
- I made sure the SEC logo wasn’t too big or too small.
- I placed the Alabama logo in a way that it complemented the SEC logo. No overlapping, just a nice, clean layout.
- I wanted it clear, and after a bit of trial and error, I had it.
Tweaks and Final Touches
Once I was happy with the general layout, I looked at it with a critical eye. Did anything need tweaking? Usually, the answer is yes. So, I adjusted the brightness and contrast a bit, just to make the logos pop. I didn’t want them looking dull or washed out.
After staring at it, I was actually happy with it. It’s not going to win any design awards, but it’s exactly what I wanted: a simple, clean combination of the SEC and Alabama logos.
Finally, I exported the image in a few different formats (like JPG and PNG). That way, I’d have options depending on where I wanted to use it. That’s pretty much it! Not a super complicated process, but it’s satisfying to create something yourself, even if it’s just a simple logo mashup.
