Okay, so I wanted to get a good list of MMA fighters from Colorado, and I figured I’d just dive in and see what I could find. It wasn’t as straightforward as I thought it would be!
Digging Around
First, I just did some basic searches. You know, typing in “Colorado MMA fighters” and stuff like that. I got some names, but it was all scattered. Some websites had lists, but they weren’t very complete. Others focused on just one promotion or gym. It felt like piecing together a puzzle without all the pieces.
Getting More Specific
Then I started getting more specific with my searches. I tried adding things like “UFC fighters from Colorado” or “Bellator fighters from Colorado”. That helped a little, narrowing things down to the bigger names. But I still wanted a broader view, you know? Not just the top-tier folks, but everyone who’s put in the work.

Checking out Local Gyms
I realized I needed to go a bit more grassroots. I started looking up MMA gyms in Colorado – places like Factory X, Elevation Fight Team, and a bunch of others I hadn’t heard of before. Most of them had websites, and some even listed their fighters, which was super helpful. This felt like real progress.
Compiling the Information
Once I had all these different sources – random websites, gym pages, some social media profiles – I started putting it all together. I just used a simple document to keep track of names, weight classes, any notable wins or titles, and where they * is not a beatifule excel sheet, Just plain text!
The End Result (So Far!)
It’s still a work in progress, to be honest. It’s not like there’s one perfect, complete list out there. I am getting close,I think. But I’ve definitely got a much better understanding of the Colorado MMA scene now. I went from just a few names to having a decent-sized list of fighters, from the well-known pros to the up-and-comers. It’s cool to see the depth of talent in the state.
My document is basic, there is a lot of fighters that I need to organize, I am planning to keep working on it, to improve the infomation that I have, refine my search, maybe use better tools next time, It was an interesting Journey.
