Okay, so the other day I was trying to find some movies similar to “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby” because, let’s be honest, that movie is hilarious. I wanted more of that goofy, over-the-top comedy.
First, I opened up my go-to search engine.
Then I typed in something like “movies like Talladega Nights”. I figured that was a good starting point. I mean, that’s pretty much what I was looking for, right?
I scrolled through a bunch of results. Some were lists from websites, and others were forum discussions. Nothing really special.
What did I find?
- I saw a lot of mentions of other Will Ferrell movies, naturally. Stuff like “Anchorman”, “Step Brothers”, and “Blades of Glory”. I’ve seen most of those, and yeah, they’re in the same ballpark.
- Days of Thunder. Same sport and has a similar theme.
- There were some suggestions for movies with a similar kind of underdog sports theme, like “Dodgeball” or “Happy Gilmore”. Those are funny, but not exactly the same vibe.
I jotted down a few titles that sounded promising, mostly the ones I hadn’t seen before or hadn’t watched in a while.
Finally,I have serveral options. I can watch what I want.
