Alright, so the other day I was messing around with some numbers, and I got this crazy idea: What happens if I take 10 and raise it to the 99th power? Sounds kinda nuts, right?
The Beginning of My Experiment
First, I just sat down and thought about it. Like, what does that even mean? It’s 10 multiplied by itself 99 times. That’s… a lot of multiplying.
Starting Simple
- I grabbed my phone’s calculator. You know, the basic one.
- I typed in 10, then hit the ‘x’ button, then 10 again, and again, and… you get the idea.
- After like, the fifth time, I was already at 100,000. My brain was starting to hurt. This manual approach? Nope. Not gonna work.
Thinking Smarter, Not Harder
Okay, so clearly doing this by hand (or by phone-calculator-button-mashing) was a disaster. I needed a better tool. I remembered my old TI-83 from high school. That thing could handle some serious calculations, right?
After search a lot, found online tool about calculation.
The Big Calculation
- I typed in ’10’, then found that little ‘^’ button (that’s the “to the power of” symbol, for the non-calculator-nerds).
- Then, I typed in ’99’.
- I hit ‘Enter’, and… well, it did the thing!
The Result
What I end up with? The answer is 1e+99. It mean the 1 with 99 zeros behaind itself!
I mean, it’s hard to even imagine a number that big!
So yeah, that was my little adventure in number-land. It started with a silly question, led to some button-mashing frustration, and ended with me using some better tool to actually see the answer. Kind of a fun way to spend a bit, honestly.
