Okay, so today marks day 20 of my 170-day project. It’s… something. Honestly, I picked this 170-day thing pretty randomly. I just felt like I needed a longer-term goal to keep me moving, you know?
I started by just brainstorming a bunch of stuff I wanted to improve. Could be anything – fitness, learning a new skill, finally organizing my closet… whatever. I ended up with a huge, messy list.
Then, I narrowed it down. I tried to pick things that were actually achievable and, more importantly, things I actually cared about. No point in setting a goal I’d dread working on, right?

The Process (So Far)
- Day 1-5: Mostly planning and getting supplies. This involved a lot of list-making and some online shopping. Felt productive, even though I hadn’t really done anything yet.
- Day 6-10: Started hitting some roadblocks. Realized I was maybe a little too ambitious with one of my goals. Had to rethink and scale it back a bit.
- Day 11-15: Found a rhythm! Started to feel like I was actually making progress. This was a good week. Felt motivated.
- Day 16-20: Life happened. Got busy with other stuff, and my project took a backseat. Not ideal, but I’m trying not to beat myself up about it.
Today, I basically just reviewed where I was at and tried to get back on track. I spent some time catching up on the things I’d fallen behind on. It wasn’t glamorous, but it needed to be done.
The biggest thing I’ve learned so far is that consistency is key, but also, flexibility is important. Some days are going to be better than others. It’s all about showing up, even when you don’t feel like it, and adjusting your plans when necessary.
So, yeah, that’s where I’m at. 20 days down, 150 to go. Still figuring things out, but that’s part of the journey, I guess.
