Okay, so today’s little project was all about diving into something I’ve been meaning to mess with for a while. It started with me seeing this phrase, “all my homies hate,” and I was like, “What’s that all about?” So, I did what any curious person would do – I started digging.
First, I just Googled the phrase. Just to get the basic gist of it. Turns out, it’s a meme, usually used in a joking way to show strong dislike for something. Usually, It’s got an image with some characters, and then the text, “all my homies hate [whatever].” Okay, cool. Got the context.
Figuring Out What to “Hate”
Next, I needed something for my “homies” to “hate.” I thought about what’s been bugging me lately. My mind went through several options.

- Spam calls? Classic, everyone hates those.
- Slow Wi-Fi? Always a pain.
- That one annoying pop-up ad? The one that keeps coming back, no matter how many times you close it? Yeah, that one.
I went with the pop-up ad. Seemed relatable enough, and I had a specific one in mind – you know, those “Congratulations, you’ve won!” things that are obviously scams.
Making the Meme
Then came the fun part – creating the actual meme! It requires image and text. I’m no graphic designer, but I can slap some stuff together. I fired up an online meme generator I use all the time.
I looked for a picture. Something that looks like friends looking angrily, I searched for “group of friends angry” and I find a pic, looks good enough. So, choose it.
I typed in the text: “All my homies hate [that annoying pop-up ad].” I fiddled with the font and the layout a bit, just to make it look somewhat decent. Nothing fancy, just getting the point across.
Sharing the Result
Finally, I downloaded the finished meme. Boom. Done. I shared it with a few of my friends, just to see their reactions. A few chuckles, some “So true!” comments. Mission accomplished. That’s all.

It wasn’t some huge, complex project, but it was a fun little way to spend an hour or two. Plus, I learned something new about a random internet meme. Can’t complain about that!
