Okay, so I wanted to try my hand at drawing those tiny Georgia helmets. You know, the ones that are super popular right now? I’ve seen them all over, and figured, “Why not give it a shot?”
Getting Started
First, I had to gather my materials. Nothing fancy, just:
- A regular pencil (I used an HB, but any will do)
- Some plain white paper
- An eraser (because, let’s be real, mistakes happen)
- A fine-tipped black pen (for outlining later)
The Drawing Process
I started by lightly sketching the basic shape of the helmet. It’s kinda like an oval, but with a flatter bottom. I messed up the proportions a few times, making it too wide or too tall. The eraser definitely came in handy!

Next, I added the face mask. This was the trickiest part for me. It’s got all those bars and curves. I drew it very lightly at first, making adjustments until it looked somewhat right. I think I redrew it like five times! Patience is key, I guess.
After the face mask, I drew the “G” logo on the side. This was surprisingly easy. Just a simple, bold “G”. I used a reference image on my phone to get the shape correct.
I kept looking back at my reference photo and my drawing, making small tweaks here and there. Things like the curve of the helmet, the spacing of the face mask bars… all those little details.
Inking and Finishing
Once I was mostly happy with the pencil sketch, I went over the lines with my fine-tipped black pen. This made the drawing look much cleaner and more defined. It also made my mistakes more obvious, haha! But I did my best to fix them as I went along.
After inking, I carefully erased all the pencil lines. This left me with a nice, clean black and white drawing of a tiny Georgia helmet.

Final Thoughts
It’s not perfect, by any means. My lines are still a bit wobbly, and the proportions aren’t exactly spot-on. But, you know what? I’m pretty happy with it! It was a fun little project, and it definitely tested my drawing skills (and my patience!). I might even try coloring it in later, maybe with some red and black markers. We’ll see!
