Okay, folks, let’s talk about this “Checo Perez hat” thing I tackled today. It wasn’t exactly rocket science, but hey, it was something I wanted to get done.
My Little Project: Checo Perez Hat
So, I’ve been seeing these Checo Perez hats everywhere, and I thought, “I could probably make something like that.” I’m no crafting expert, mind you, but I’m pretty good at figuring things out.
First, I gathered my materials. Needed a plain baseball cap. Found a red one that I thought was pretty fitting. Also. grabed some fabric markers.

Then came the fun part – actually making the design! This took some trial and error. Here’s the rough process I followed:
- I started by lightly sketching the design on the cap with a pencil. Didn’t want to mess it up right away!
- Then I traced over my pencil lines with the fabric markers. I took my time with this, trying to get the lines as smooth as possible.
- I filled in the design with the markers. This part was a bit tedious, but I just put on some music and powered through.
- I did this same process for the number “11”.
I added a few extra details, like some shading and highlights, to give it a bit more depth. It’s not perfect, but I’m pretty happy with how it turned out. It definitely captures that Checo Perez vibe I was going for.
Honestly, the hardest part was probably just being patient. It’s easy to rush things and make mistakes. But I took my time, and it paid off. The whole thing took me maybe a couple of hours, spread out over an afternoon.
It’s not a masterpiece, but it’s mine. And that’s what makes it cool. Plus, now I’ve got a custom Checo Perez hat that I can wear with pride!.
