Okay, so today I wanted to figure out the midpoint between 72 and 105. Nothing too crazy, just a little math problem I had.
First, I grabbed my phone and opened the calculator app. You know, the usual drill. I could’ve done it in my head, but hey, why not use the tools you have, right?
Then, I thought about how to find the midpoint. I remembered you basically just average the two numbers. So, I needed to add them together and then divide by two.
- I punched in “72 + 105” and hit enter. Got 177, as expected.
- Next, I divided that result by 2. So, I typed in “177 / 2” and pressed enter.
And there it was! The calculator showed me 88.5. That’s the midpoint!
It was easy. It took all about 1 minute.
