Okay, so I’ve been messing around with getting that special Honda livery from F1 2006 working. It took a little bit of doing, but I finally got it, and man, it looks sweet! Here’s how I did it.
First, I had to find the actual files for the livery. That was probably the hardest part, honestly. I dug around on some forums and finally stumbled across a download link that seemed legit. Fingers crossed, I downloaded it, and thankfully, it wasn’t some virus or something.
Installation Time
Once I had the files, it was time to actually get them into the game. Now, I’m no computer whiz, so I was a little nervous about this part. I followed the instructions that came with the download (thank goodness for those!).
- I basically had to copy the new files into a specific folder in the game’s directory.
- It involved finding the right folder, which took a bit of poking around.
- Then I just dragged and dropped the downloaded files in there.
I fired up the game, holding my breath. I went to the car selection screen, and…there it was! The Honda with that awesome special livery. It looked even better in-game than in the pictures I’d seen.
I took it for a spin, and man, it felt good. It’s just a cosmetic thing, sure, but it made the game feel fresh and new again. I spent the rest of the afternoon just racing around, enjoying the new look.
