Okay, so I’ve been meaning to catch a game at Wrigley Field for, like, forever. It’s the classic ballpark, right? But I’d heard horror stories about obstructed view seats. Nobody wants to pay good money and end up staring at a pole all day. So, I did some digging before I bought my tickets.
First, I scoured the internet. I mean, I really went deep. I read tons of blog posts, forum threads, and reviews. People were sharing their seat numbers and experiences, good and bad.
Then, I started cross-referencing everything. I pulled up seating charts of Wrigley and compared them to the comments I was finding. I wanted to get a feel for which sections and rows were most commonly mentioned as having problems.

It seemed like the biggest culprits were the upper deck seats, especially those further back and under the overhang. Also, some of the lower-level seats near the foul poles seemed risky.
After all the information gathering, I then used an online website, there are a few of them, to virtually view each seats. To check for any obstructions.
Armed with all this info, I finally felt ready to buy. I opted for seats in the lower level, a bit further down the baseline, but not too close to the pole. I figured I’d pay a little extra to avoid any potential disappointments.
And guess what? It totally paid off! The game was amazing, the view was perfect, and I didn’t have to crane my neck once. I even took some pictures to document it all – proof that my research had saved the day.
So, my advice? Do your homework! Don’t just blindly buy tickets. A little bit of effort beforehand can make a huge difference in your Wrigley Field experience.
