Okay, so I wanted to find a job, and I was specifically looking in Ennis. I’ve heard it’s a nice place, so I figured, why not give it a shot?
Starting the Search
First things first, I needed to see what was even out there. I opened up my laptop and fired up the good old web browser.
Narrowing it Down
I typed in “city of ennis jobs”. It was pretty general, I know, but I wanted to see everything at first. the first page displayed some obvious goverment jobs, so I decided to check out the city’s official website.
- Looked for a “Careers” or “Jobs” section. It’s usually somewhere obvious, like in the footer or on a main navigation menu.
- Found it! It was labeled clearly. I clicked through.
- I scanned through everything.
Checking the Results
I Found a couple of listings that sounded potentially interesting. One was for a position, and I was thought maybe match with my qualifications.
The Next Step
Right now, I’m still in the browsing phase. But my next step is to tailor my resume. Gotta make sure it highlights the skills that match those job descriptions. Then, fingers crossed, I’ll be sending out some applications!
