Okay, so today I tried out this “boxing with high shorts” thing. I’m no athlete, just a regular dude who likes to mess around with different workouts.
Getting Started
First, I rummaged through my drawers to find some really high shorts. Think 80s basketball player style. The higher, the better, apparently. I felt kinda silly, but hey, gotta commit to the experiment, right?
The Actual Boxing
I don’t have a proper boxing setup at home, just a beat-up punching bag in the garage. I threw on some gloves (safety first, kids!) and started with some basic jabs and crosses. It felt…weird. The shorts were definitely riding up, and I found myself constantly adjusting them. Kind of distracting, to be honest.

- Jab, jab, cross: Kept it simple.
- Added some hooks: Tried to get fancy.
- Felt awkward: The shorts, man, the shorts!
Trying to Focus
I tried to ignore the shorts situation and focus on my form. I imagined I was in a real boxing match, which helped a little. I focused on keeping my core tight and my feet moving. I’m sure a real boxer would laugh at my technique, but I was giving it my best shot.
The Aftermath
After about 20 minutes, I was sweating like crazy. The high shorts didn’t magically make me a better boxer, but they did make the workout…memorable. My legs felt a little freer, I guess, but mostly I just felt like I was in a retro workout video.
Final Thoughts
Would I recommend boxing with high shorts? Honestly, probably not. It’s more of a gimmick than anything else. But hey, it was a fun little experiment, and I got a decent workout in. Maybe I’ll stick to regular shorts next time, though.
