Okay, so yesterday I finally got around to trying out those Rival boxing gloves everyone’s been talking about. I’ve been looking for a new pair for a while, and these kept popping up, so I figured, why not give them a shot?
First off, I ordered them online, and they arrived pretty quickly. I went with the RB100 bag gloves because I needed something solid for my bag workouts. When I opened the box, I was honestly surprised. These gloves look seriously good, almost too nice to use! They’re made from some kind of premium material, and you can tell they’re handcrafted, which is pretty cool.
Putting them on, they felt snug but not too tight. I’ve had gloves in the past that felt like they were cutting off my circulation, but these were different. The padding inside is thick, and it felt like it was really going to protect my hands.
- I started with some light jabs, just to get a feel for them. They felt light on my hands but heavy on the bag, which is exactly what I wanted.
- Then I moved on to some harder punches, hooks, and uppercuts. The impact absorption was amazing. I could barely feel the impact on my knuckles, which is a huge plus.
- Usually, after a few rounds, my hands start to sweat like crazy, but these gloves have some kind of ventilation system that actually works. My hands stayed relatively dry throughout my workout.
- Lastly, I used the gloves with some speed bag work, and even in that case, they worked well.
Training Session
After about an hour of hitting the bag, I was really impressed. My hands felt great, no pain or discomfort at all. These gloves definitely live up to the hype. And they made me feel like a total pro, even though I’m far from it. I also saw this dude named Nigel at Fit2Box give a shoutout to the Rival gloves, which made me feel like I made a good choice.
I’d say if you’re in the market for some new boxing gloves, definitely check out Rival. They’re a bit pricey, but in my opinion, they’re worth every penny. My hands feel great, and I’m excited to use them again in my next training session. It’s like they’re a game-changer for real!
