Okay, so I started this thing called “380 days from Oct 2, 2024.” Sounds kinda weird, right? But trust me, it’s got a purpose. Basically, I set a goal way out there in the future, October 2nd, 2024, to be exact. And then I figured, what if I counted down the days and did something small each day to get closer to that big goal?
So, day one, I sat down and really thought about what I wanted to achieve by October 2nd. I mean, it’s more than a year away, so I could literally do anything. I grabbed a notebook and just started jotting down ideas. Nothing was off-limits. Lose weight, learn a new language, start a business, write a book… you name it, it went in the notebook.
After a while, I picked one that felt right. Let’s just say it’s about getting in better shape, but not just about hitting the gym every day. It is more about a whole lifestyle change. Anyway, once I had my big goal, I started breaking it down. Like, what’s one small thing I could do every day that’ll eventually get me there?

- Day 1: I just decided to drink more water. Sounds simple, but I’m usually terrible at staying hydrated.
- Day 2: I added a 15-minute walk to my day. Nothing crazy, just a stroll around the block.
- Day 3: I started looking up healthy recipes. I didn’t even cook anything, just browsed and bookmarked a few that looked good.
And so on. Every day, I added or tweaked something small. Some days it was easy, some days I really had to push myself. But the key was just to do something. I even started tracking it all in that same notebook. I wrote down what I did, how I felt, any challenges I faced… the whole nine yards.
It’s been a few days now, and honestly, I’m feeling pretty good. It’s not about the results yet, it’s about the process. It’s about showing up for myself every day, even if it’s just in a small way. And you know what? It’s kind of exciting to think about where I’ll be by the time I actually get to October 2nd, 2024.
It’s still early in my 380-day project, but I’m feeling more optimistic and more clear about what I’m doing. Also, I have the feeling that I can make it this time.
Keep going, I told myself.
I will keep updating my progress. Just wait and see!
