Okay, here’s my attempt at a blog post in the style you requested, focusing on the title “20 of 17”:
So, I had this weird little project I was messing with – basically trying to fit 20 things into a space designed for 17. Sounds kinda dumb, I know, but it was bugging me.
The Start
It all started with these little… let’s call them “widgets.” I had 20 of ’em, all different shapes and sizes. And I had this container, clearly marked “Holds 17.” I don’t know why, but I just had to make them all fit.

The Messy Middle
First, I tried just shoving them in. No surprise, that didn’t work. Widgets were sticking out everywhere, it was a total mess.
- Tried arranging them by size – biggest to smallest. Nope.
- Tried sorting them by shape – round ones together, square ones together. Still no.
- Even tried turning the container upside down. (Don’t judge, I was desperate.)
I spent, like, a solid hour just fiddling with these things. I took some out, put others in, rotated them, flipped them… you name it. My desk looked like a widget explosion.
Getting Closer (Maybe?)
Then, I had a kinda-sorta breakthrough. I realized that three of the widgets were almost identical. I mean, really close. So, I stacked those three on top of each other. Boom! Suddenly, I had 18 things instead of 20. Progress!
It still wasn’t perfect, but that little trick gave me an idea. I started looking for other ways to combine or overlap the widgets. I found a couple that could kinda nest inside each other, and another two that could be angled just right to save space.
Finally!
After a whole lot more fiddling, swearing, and maybe a little bit of praying, I did it! All 20 widgets, crammed into that container for 17. It wasn’t pretty, and I definitely wouldn’t want to have to take them out again, but they fit.

Was it worth it? Probably not. Did I learn anything? Maybe. I guess the lesson is… sometimes you can make things work, even if they don’t seem like they should. Or maybe the lesson is just that I have way too much free time.
