Okay, so I had this project where I needed to figure out how big something was in feet, but the measurement I had was in inches – 179 inches, to be exact. I’m not the best at math, so I knew I needed a little help.
My Conversion Journey
First, I grabbed my phone and opened up the search engine. I just typed in something like “179 inches to feet” cause I didn’t know how to directly calculate.
The search results popped up instantly, some show me use calculator directly, or use formula. I’m not very good at remembering formulas, so I looked for the simplest way.
I found that to convert inches to feet, you can multiply the inches by 0.0833333333.
Sound simple!
- I took that number, 179.
- Then I multiplied it by 0.0833333333.
- I got 14.9166666667.
So, 179 inches is the same as 14.9166666667 feet. I now write it down in my notebook! Problem solved!
