Okay, so the other day I was trying to figure out how tall something was, but the measurement was in meters, 1.87 meters to be exact. And, well, I’m more used to feet. So, I needed to convert it.
First, I grabbed my phone – gotta love technology, right? – and did a quick search. I mean, that’s what everyone does these days, isn’t it?
The Conversion
- I found out that you gotta multiply the meters by this number: 3.2808398950131. Apparently, that’s how many feet are in one meter. Who knew, right?
- So, I punched in 1.87 into my calculator.
- Then I multiplied that by 3.2808398950131.
And boom! The answer popped up: 6.135 feet. So, 1.87 meters is roughly 6.135 feet. Not too shabby, huh?
It turned out to be way easier than I thought it would be.
